STATION
00:50
|
|||
nobody feels like giving up
nobody feels like growing up
station
and when the sun stops coming up
and when your friends stop showing up

LIVING WITH EMPLOYMENT
01:00
|
|||
looks worse than yesterday
tomorrows another day
pack up our shit and go away
loose change is sinking ships
best records full of skips
theres too much sun, i'm staying in
call me drunk, call me sad
call me a fucking cab
can't wait to sleep in til i'm dead
tomorrows coming fast
and it won't be the last
next week is just a month away
check out this list I made
of everything I hate
starts with tomorrow
ends with today

ALRIGHT AGAIN
01:24
|
|||
wake up on the wrong side of the floor
out the window, not the door
live the high life before 9 again
take the wrong train home and then
put the paper to a pen
write it down til i feel fine again
feel fine again, kill time again
i'll write again, alright again
call out from my shitty job
day old coffee clears the fog
hit the pavement, hit the calamine
blasting later Die Kreuzen
wake the neighborhood again
call the eviction party line
they've been working overtime

JUNK SHOP
00:48
|
|||
i saw you waiting at the bus stop
i saw you walk into the junk shop
you're trading in who I met
for whatever is next
cause thats exactly all youve got
you can get off the bus now
the drivers in a rush now
but thats exactly what you want
but thats what happens when you go to far
it happens when you don't know who you are

GLASS AND SCREEN
01:05
|
|||
sunk deep onto the couch
its not worth climbing out
i lost what i had
and i can't get it back
i'm lost without a map
and i can't get it back
theres glass and theres a screen
but i'm stuck in between
i'm living off of bleach
bugspray and sunscreen

CHALK
01:13
|
|||
walk a mile, and fake a smile
its a cross examination
not a six month paid vacation
face my fears, and take the stairs
this is not my first name
and I can't spell my last name
take a walk, avoid the chalk
left and right and back and forth
piss behind the liquor store
check my vitals at nine
he's never late rain or shine
crack an egg and i'm gone
until the street lights turn on
missed a call from the doc's
i guess i checked the wrong box
its a bittersweet plot
its fucking fun til its not

UNDER THE OLD LIGHTBULB
01:21
|
|||
"under the old lightbulb yesterday
thats when I saw the future and a better way"
NO WAY
theres nothing that can grow under that lightbulb
dim and grey (gray?), just not way
"I saw tomorrow, everything was fine
it wasn't like it was the last few times
i saw tomorrow and it wasn't bad at all"
If you're so glad that everything is fine
see if you can turn it on a second time
i'm surprised that light up there will
still turn on at all

LATELY
00:25
|
|||
lately i'm not doing what i want to do
i'm barely doing what i need to do
no time and place
lately i'm not walking in a straight line
i'm still healing but it takes time
go my own pace
but the signs say thats ok
other signs point the other way
but i'm starting to learn
that the suns gonna burn
but theres always yesterday

MATTRESS
01:06
|
|||
wake up in the doorway
back steps of greylock
try to find a place i wont die
but someone took my spot
basements a cold place
but can't breathe in the rot
they said its a safe place to sleep
but its not
i found a spot
i picked the lock
i stole a cot
its too fucking hot

SO LONG
00:36
|
|||
maybe people are right when they say you don't belong
someone's always there to tell you what you're doing wrong
i say so long
